Not trying to be a jerk, but the SAR2's were imported by Century from around 1999-2003 without threaded barrels and with bayo lugs ground off. From 1997-1999, they were imported by multiple importers under different names, including Romak 992, Romak2, Cur2 and a couple others. All were apparently made in the Romanian Cugir factory. This information is from my previous research and also according to Mischa, who is undeniably one of the foremost experts on the AK platform anywhere.

You can watch his SAR2 video HERE.

So, it would seem that somewhere along the line, someone threaded the barrels. Were these imported by Century? Are you the original owner? According to Mischa, the SAR2 name was not used until Century started importing them, so 1998 is right on the edge of when the SAR 2 name began being used by Century.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Mischa? Mischa? Bueller?

I am really interested in tracing the heritage of these rifles, from a historical perspective.
