My mother n law passed and we now have her Double Yellow Head Amazon Parrot. We don't have the time to give to her that she needs. We do have 5 grandchildren that take up our time. However, the bird DOES NOT play well with children. She just don't like kids. Could be she had a bad experience with kids before she came to our family about 15 years ago. She was about 15 when we got her.

Lifespan is around 80 years, if you don't get too mad at them...
Super friendly to most, but as with all birds.....
Doesn't pluck, never has since we've had her.
