Item Name: FS LOSS OF PATIENCE SALE!!! Desert Eagle .357 $750

Location: Atlanta

Zip Code: 30316

Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 750

Caliber: .357 Mag

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: The most finicky, jam-o-matic boat anchor I ever did see...

Up for grabs is an Israeli-made Mk I/VII Desert Eagle in .357 Magnum. Made in August 1988 per Magnum Research. Uncommon two-tone finish, has that nice "plum" sorta blue like some Makarovs.

Blowing it out cheap because I'm sick of #<:(ing with it. Some "pro tips" I've picked up along the way:

-Anything less than full-house 158 gr loads will not reliably cycle the weapon
-Anything other than round-nose projectiles (e.g. TC, SWC) WILL reliably stove-pipe
-Anything other than FMJ (e.g. SJHP, SJSP) will rapidly seize the gas piston in its cylinder due to lead fouling
-Anything other than the Magnum Research-prescribed, double-top-secret Mossad operator grip and stance (not kidding. It's actually in the manual.) may cause failure to feed
-Touching, breathing on, or having negative thoughts about the magazine during operation may cause failure to feed (again, this is in the manual)

Sure is pretty though!

Includes:
-Five 9-rd factory mags
-Scope mount and NC-star 2.5x30 scope
-5-in-1 tool
-"Vintage" Desert Eagle soft case

An exciting new world of firearm diagnosis awaits you! All this could be yours for only $750!!!

***ADDED FOR CLARIFICATION: I don't believe there's anything mechanically wrong with this pistol. I think this is just how they are. It's entirely possible you'll hit on some ammo it "likes" or work-up the perfect load for it at your bench. In that case you got a deal on a cool range toy, and good for you! Me, I'm over it.

I have a DE 357 and changed all the internals, ejector, firing pin, springs and mags. It still only cycles with higher grain ammo. I believe it is because the upper assembly does weigh as much as a boat anchor. This is a great deal, and if I had the cash I would snatch this thing up. GLWS.

This is a good point, and I should clarify: there are no apparent mechanical defects with the gun. They're just SUPER picky eaters.

As an "AK guy," this is sufficient for it to be banished to gulag!

A great read and honest ad !!!! My son’s .50 AE is real picky about mags. Doesn’t like the Mec Gar much. Kinda picky with the factory mag . It likes the $38 for twenty rounds box of Hornaday tho ! BUT. It does have that cool factor !
