Item Description: Well guys, this had been a frustrating day.

I purchased this 2005 Ford Mustang from an individual off of Facebook. They still owed money on it at Navy Federal, so we met at the bank and I purchased it there. They provided me with a notarized lien release and I filled out a bill of sale with the buyer. The title was supposed to be sent directly to me.

Fast forward a few weeks and the title has not arrived. I have tried getting ahold of the seller, but they have not returned my calls. I followed up with Navy Federal and they are now saying that they never had the title to the vehicle because the loan was opened in Kentucky where apparently they don’t collect the title from the owner.

I have tried to reach the seller, but he has not responded. I have tried calling him and texting him to no avail. My wife and I are now expecting our first child and frankly, I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with this right now.

there are a few options. Go on a rabbit chase to find the original title. Get a bonded title through the state, which after 3 years becomes a normal title. Use it as a track toy.

If I didn’t have a baby on the way, I would definitely keep it as a track toy. This car is easily worth 11 to 12 grand. Blue book trade in on it is about that.

It’s a 2005 GT Premium with only 41k original miles. Clean carfax. Hopefully someone can take advantage of getting it 40% off retail and deal with the headache. I am losing a lot of money at this price. Will maybe consider partial trades.

Good news, gang. I’ve confirmed with the tag office that a new title has been requested and fulfilled. New title is en route.

I’m going to list it for $10,500 on Facebook. I’ll honor my 9k price on here. Who wants it?

Sounds like the solution is in the works but like they say
don't count your eggs before checking the expiration date.

Any more delays or snafus might be time to call one of the
News shows with consumer advocates that solve swindles
and broken promises. They seem pretty good at cutting red
tape. Now of course have to keep in mind that they never
air the situations that they can't resolve. Don't say if that
is 5% or 85% of the cases either.

Nice looking car - fair price! Glad to see you got the title issue resolved. My question is how was this car used? 41,000 miles in 15 years? Original engine? Just not use to seeing a car of this type such low miles, wondering if I missed something.

The was part of an older gentleman’s collection. It was kept in a heated garage 20 car garage and was driven a total of 2000 miles until 2015 when it was sold to someone who actually drove it until now lol. I still have the car cover that will go with the mustang, as well. I have the carfax for it and it is a true mileage, no accident car.
