Item Description: I am selling my daughter's 2002 4WD Jeep Grand Cherokee. It currently has about 173,000 miles on it. So far this year I have replaced:tires, transfer case, radiator, water pump, thermostat, expansion block valve(?), cooling fan, condensing unit(?). The brakes and AC compressor was done last year. I'm sure there is more, but it is too painful to think about. My mechanic say it is currently losing coolant and may need a head gasket.
Now that she is out of college and earning her own money she has gotten her own car and I am not putting another penny in this one.
It has a couple of dings, but is in generally good shape. The interior is in great shape. I thought I would post it here before it hits Craigslist. My daughter is supposed to take some pictures for the ad, so if you're interested let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Well your honest for sure. A lot of folks wouldn't have revealed nearly as much as you did. My hats goes off to you on that one. Plus with everything you have replaced, maybe it's alright now. Other than the coolant loss.
Are you having to add coolant? Do you smell antifreeze inside? Is your motor oil getting a white milky color to it? Does it steam excessively out the tail pipe? Are any of your spark plug igniter tips colored in an orangish rust color? No offense but are you sure all these problems were and are legit? Or are you just taking your mechanics word for everything? Not saying he is taking you for a ride by any means, but if I weren't absolutely sure about the validity of all these problems, I would get second opinions and do some thinking. Most everything you mentioned is easily diagnosed.. Just saying..... And GLWS

Well, he's been my mechanic for better than ten years so I go along with what he says. That, and I'm an idiot when it comes to cars. I haven't driven it, but my daughter says she has to add coolant every so often and the mechanic says I'm losing it out of the tailpipe. Nothing in the oil. He's says it's not bad, but I've done all I'm gonna do. Now that she has her own car and her own apartment, she is off my payroll and the Jeep needs to go.

Yeah, I'm proud of her. Two degrees in three years at GA. Southern. Anybody need a hard working Spanish speaker in the Decatur area? She's already over being a paralegal.
