Item Description: Browning A5 Light Twelve with modified, Vent rib barrel. The forearm is not cracked. I believe the year of production is 1959. There is a small area where the bluing is rubbed on the bottom of the barrel. There is also a small ding in one of the ribs. The wood on the stocks look like they are in great shape.

69 lightweight serial would start with 69G, but I agree Browning changed the scheme multiple times over the years and it can be challenging to sort it out

Browning switched from the round knob like the one on your example to the square knob stock beginning in 1967 so if the stock is original then we know at a glance it has to be made in 1966 or earlier

Vent Rib barrels were available on the A5's in the 50's
