Item Description: Up for consideration by the ODT mafia is another 1897 from my collection.
This firearm was in its current "riot gun" configuration when purchased by me. The only thing I added was the Action Products lace on recoil pad to give me a little more LOP. Gun was manufactured in 1911 and was originally a full length model. Its barrel has been shortened to 18.5in and all the metal has been refinished in flat black cerakote. The wood has not been refinished however and is in great shape for the age. This gun cycles and runs as smooth as any other 97 I have handled. It would be great for someone who wants to do some cowboy action shooting.
