Item Description: Please read the description carefully. Up for sale is a Ruger .44 Magnum carbine. It is the tube feed design, NOT the detachable magazine. The rifle fires and cycles perfectly. However, I bought the rifle used, and the very first time I fired it, the stock split. My intention was to buy a replacement stock, but after two years of looking, I have had no luck. I epoxied the stock back together, have fired it since with no issues. I cannot guarantee that it won't split again, though. I have priced the rifle accordingly with the stock issue in mind, and I will not budge on the price, so don't ask.

I will include a new box of Remington 180 grain JSP ammunition (50 rounds).

Ask as many questions as you like, I will try to answer them all.

Thank you for looking.

Where is the stock split? I can't tell from the pictures.
The split followed the wood grain from about 3/4 of the way up the forend back toward the trigger. If you look closely at the photo of the left side of the rifle (opposite the chamber side), you can see a dark rectangular spot on the stock. The split runs up and back from there.
I would have used pins or dowels on the repair, but since the split ran at such an odd angle, and the wood is thin in a couple of spots, I just used epoxy.
