Purchased used by me on May 6, 2024 from GA Firing Line for $1,695.99 out-the-door with (1) magazine. The price was too good to leave it sitting there, although I was a bit skeptical considering the Premier II goes for roughly $2,800.00 new. I figured if it had flaws, I was into it for a good enough price to fix them and not be soured by the deal. If it didn't have flaws, jackpot! I did a basic field strip and cleaned it up well, and to-date have fired 160 rounds of S&B 230gr FMJ through it without issue. Turned out to be a jackpot thus far!
I've recently brought home a 3rd CZ Shadow 2, and this Baer is almost a direct overlap with my Wilson Combat ACP, leading me to the decision to let this Baer go to a new home in the name of recovering funds from the latest Shadow 2 acquisition. I make no guarantees, as any and all things mechanical can be finicky beasts, but I have yet to find a flaw with this Baer in the time that I've owned and shot it. Don't be spooked by the low price, I've simply lopped $100.00 off of what I got it for (sans tax) and am looking to pass the deal along to a fellow 1911 junkie.
This Baer has a 2009 production date. Originally a blued gun, it was Cerakoted by the 2nd owner (a fellow ODT member). The finish looks great, having only some very light handling marks around the nose of the slide and on the left side of the frame behind the trigger. The front sight is a tritium unit with a bit of life left in it, and the rear sight is a 10-8 Performance u-notch.
