Item Description: Hi all,
Selling a Springfield M1 Garand from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. It's a CMP 'Special Grade' rifle, so it's a refinished USGI receiver with a new-production barrel and stock -- the CMP says 'most other parts are refinished USGI, but some parts may be new manufacture'. Serial is in the 253XXX range, so original manufacture date should be in May 1941. Bought it from the CMP South store in 2016.
It's an absolute blast to shoot, but it's time to clear out some room in the safe (and the budget) for other projects. I only have 3-400 rounds through it, always cleaned thoroughly afterwards. It's got a few minor blemishes on the stock and receiver(shown below) but overall in great condition. Please feel free to comment or PM for further details or pictures. No bill of sale needed, but would like a look at a driver's license or carry permit.
