Item Description: I'm selling a Walther PPQ M2 22LR pistol. It is the same size as the full size PP2 M2 in 9mm, except this one is chambered for 22lr.

I am its first owner. Included is the pistol, two magazines (they hold 12 round each), a thread adapter to allow for use with suppressors (I've shot it suppressed and it works great), and the original case/documentes.

The pistol itself usually goes for ~$300 new, not including the thread adapter. I'm asking for $200.

So, is this a threaded barrel? Or what is a thread adapter?
This pistol has an interesting design that's fairly unique. You don't actually replace the barrel itself, but you can effectively swap between a standard non-threaded barrel (with nothing sticking out of the front of the slide) and what looks like a normally threaded pistol (where the threads stick out of the front of the slide).

What visually looks like the barrel is really just a barrel shroud; the true barrel is held in place inside the shroud by the tension of a nut at the end of the shroud. If you didn't know this, then you'd never suspect it just by visually inspecting the pistol; it looks like a normal barrel. With the standard nut at the end, it looks like your typical non-threaded barrel. However, if you simply use the included wrench to take the nut off the end of the shroud then you can replace it with a factory-made nut that is threaded. It protrudes from the front of the slide and exposes the threads for use with a suppressor. I've shot this pistol suppressed and it works just fine.

Here is a video by sootch00 video showing this aspect of the barrel -
