Item Description: OK Guys, I have closed my 80 year old family stone business. I have a good many marble and granite pieces laying around that need to go. These are remnants of polished slabs. Thickness is 3/4" or 1 1/4". If you need a nice, flat/heavy surface, than here is your deal. There are pieces from cutting board size, to countertop/table top size. If you are interested, let me know. You will need a truck and a couple of helpers to load. I may help load, but I am not cutting to size or polishing edges. Did it for 50 years. There are rare pieces of marble that haven't been quarried in decades. If you are a fabricator, let me know if you want this.

I am considering having a pickup time of Sunday afternoon, from 1 to 4. I will do this if there is enough interest, otherwise, it is going to the dump. Material is located in Avondale Estates. Zip is 30002.

If I still lived in Monroe I'd be all over this. I've scored remnants like this twice and have a beautiful coffee table, a real nice table on my deck, and a solid table next my grill to show for it. Good luck. I hate to see this stuff scrapped.

Ok guys, I have people who want to come get FREE marble and granite, so I will be at my old shop on Sunday from 1 until 3. Lots of sizes and colors, given away or taken to the dump on Tuesday. I don't need it any longer, and hate to see it go to waste. This will be the last opportunity.

Hey Mark, I had to really fight the urge to get some more granite yesterday "just in case".

Here is my leather tooling bench before & after your granite.

Thanks again, my friend.

Wow, that looks great. If you want to make the edges look a little nicer, and not so sharp, you can hit the edges with a belt or orbital sander, with about a 60/80 grit sandpaper. Then, you can paint the edges with a water clear acrylic, or something similar. The leather work looks nice too.:thumb:
