For the most part, guns used in films are provided by a relative few established and somewhat privileged prop companies. They often supply on-set supervisors who really know their business so they can avoid the kind of ****-show that leads to people dying on set, like what happened with a certain Baldwin guy.

I’ve seen stacks and stacks of rubber and plastic ar’s and ak’s. Some big shoots only have a handful that aren’t dummies. Cool little spring loaded .223 like a snap cap but different. Some regular blanks as well.
The state of ga has an online vendor database for the film industry. I was at a production facility yesterday and headed to another one today to install equipment. It’s wild to see the size of some of these dedicated sites and how the industry has grown in Georgia.

Good. Atlanta is gay enough without it turning into Hollywood.
Double edged sword though, local people losing their jobs from it hurts our local economies.
I doubt the majority of us would notice a difference.
Have you seen the facilities that Liongate has built in Douglas County? They sunk close to $10 million dollars into the real estate purchase alone, not including development costs. And also the Tyler Perry facilities built in varied areas around Metro Atlanta? Tyler Perry has two massive studio facilities next to his mansion in Douglas County. Neither of those facilities have any plans to move anywhere soon.
