The shop I worked at rented a lot of guns to the industry when they were filming "walking Dead" about half the guns were blanked out but started life as a regular gun. Several full autos. towards the end the armorer that we dealt with didn't get the contract renewed and they brought out some libtard women from California that only wanted to use fake guns, I think the term was rubber duck". A full auto Colt M16 rented for $600 a day from what I remember. When Rick dropped the infamous Python, the hammer was broken off. I had a replacement hammer sent next day air and we ended up buying a complete vintage bright stainless Python from a shop near Macon. The props department then scratched it up to make it look like the original. After every season the Python was shipped back to California where it would inspected and reinsured. Seems the last insurance estimate for replacement was @ $60K.
