Item Description: Nice Vintage Evinrude 3HP Lightwin. It has compression and spark. New plugs. New carb kit. I've screwed up somehow...
The low speed needle valve still leaks a little gas, and I suspect I've went a little rich on the oil/gas mixture (too much oil). At any rate, a new carb kit and new gas should do the trick, but I have absolutely no time to pursue this project any further. I've decided to part with her.
The motor is squeaky clean. It's been repainted. My plans to restore it to its original beauty have been quashed due to upcoming surgeries. I'd love to get $190, but I'm open to any offer.
I also have a need for anything that takes 22LR. I'd prefer a pistol, but a rifle will do. If you're up for a decent trade, please let me know.

Oh wow! I had a 62 Evinrude 18 electric start a few years ago. It was a WONDERFUL little motor that fit well with an old 61 Arkansas Traveler boat. I restored them both and sold them to some guy who picked up the entire package on his way from Florida back to Vermont. He sent me one photo and I never heard from him again. I'd love to keep this baby, but I have no time and the arthritis is really beginning to kick in.
I've downsized to long, transom-backed canoes that fight current on the Hooch and the Chattooga. This little motor I have just doesn't do it, and actually become a bit dangerous in the areas where I like to kill and eat trout. Thanks for sharing Sir!
