Hello, here is my 1997 GMC Sierra K1500. I got this truck recently as a trade for my motorcycle that I wasn't riding anymore. Here's some pros and cons about the truck. Please read the entire thing before contacting me about the truck.
Cons:
By no means is this a pretty truck. Lots of dents and scratches on the truck. Its a truck.
Ac compressor is non op. So no AC. A new compressor is $150 on rockauto.
The driver side hinge bushings are broke. so the door doesn't close. I have the pin and bushing and its an easy replacement. Cost $10.
There is some rust. But not bad enough to affect anything. It was used as a work truck and it shows.
The rear lights wiring needs to be redone. The lights and housing is brand new. I put them in myself. But the wiring under the truck needs to be redone.
Parking brake does not work. I believe its just the cable. Easy enough fix. I just don't use it. I just leave in in gear all the time.
The seat has tears in it. I put on a seat cover and called it a day.
Cracks in dash.
Missing headliner.
As for cons, that's all I can think of right now. If I think of anymore, I will tell you when you contact me.
Pros.
Its a truck.
Long bed.
Mechanically sound.
I have driven it just like this back and forth from Athens a few times.
New radio, albeit a cheap one of amazon.
Transmission is smooth as silk.
Starts. drives, stops. Its a truck.
Heat works.
I went to the junkyard and got a headliner that will work. Its getting the liner applied to it right now.
Brand new lights all the way around.
Brand new battery as of 1/31/2023
I do love driving this truck around and it is my daily driver. The only reason why I am posting it is because I don't need a truck this big for my use. I tried to think of everything that's going on with the truck. Let me know what you have, worst I can do is say no. Miles will go up on the truck since it is my daily driver.
