Up for sale is my last SAR-2 after selling off other/s a year or two ago. This one is the best one I've ever handled, an excellent hand picked example from 1999, fired under 100 flawless rounds since new, very clean & in 99% condition with bright bore & hardly a blemish on the metal or wood.
Unlike some, it has the proper upswept handle and the SAR also has the dimpled receiver that the WASR is lacking which helps control mag wobble. It is all original other than the cheap black grip has been replaced with the far superior bakelite grip to match wood (these grips are pricey now!). It also comes complete with the cleaning kit, rod, sling, etc.
Comes with one magpul 5.45 mag and a nice E German Bakelite
Priced at $1,650 and that price is firm for a week or so. I've seen cheaper ones, but the good ones are going for higher than this & there are some trashed ones out there. See recent sale on GunBroker below....
Buy the rifle and I can offer the following:
Sealed tin of 7n6 (1080 rounds): $450
480 rounds of 7n6 ammo in an open tin: $180
500 round case of commercial steel case 5.45 in boxes: $200
Additional E German Bakelite 5.45 mags in excellent condition: $55 each
I may be slightly flexible on price if you want the rifle, all ammo, and at least 5 additional mags.
