Item Description: For Sale only. Browning Model 1885 High Wall rifle chambered in Remington 7mm Mag. Lever action falling block single shot, 28” octagonal barrel. The serial number shows it was made in 1985, the first year Browning made this model. Included is the 3x9 Nikon scope and two partial boxes of ammo. I bought this rifle and scope new in 1986 and have hunted deer, elk, bobcats and coyotes with it up until 4 years ago. The only reason I’m selling is due to a corneal transplant and I’m no longer allowed to shoot a high power rifle. No reason to have something you can’t use.
The rifle is in great hunting condition with the normal tiny bumps and dings in the stock finish from 26 years of hunting. There are no deep scratches, chips or gouges. The scope has a scratch on one side and the bluing at the end of the barrel has worn from riding in the truck muzzle down. The bore muzzle itself is recessed, so no harm to it or accuracy. I would guess I’ve fired around 200 rounds.
