That's how it was sold to me.

Like I said, it's in the unopened box so I'm assuming the description as sold to me was correct.

550 is sold with not dies. conversion kit or accessories. The 650 comes with a conversion kit but no accessories or dies. You have to get a 1050 before it comes setup for one caliber.

I had a 550 and upgraded to a 650 so I speak from experience.

The 550 is a great machine for those who are getting into reloading.

Dillon does sell their 550b in a super stripped down version really cheap. I think they call it the BL 550 or something. The 550c (which is just a newer model of the 550b - they just added a grease fitting or or something) is sold without dies or a shellplate. Check the Dillon wedsite; the prices shown are the same prices you will find everywhere else (Dillon regulates this). I reciently bought a 650 from them and I think I may have gotten more value per dollar than I ever have in my life. Dillon makes super quality machines. I wish my dentist would use equipment with this kind of precision.

I agree with Jackie, my 550 came with nothing extra, my 650 came with one conversion kit of my choice and a case feeser plate of my choice.
