Very rare condition Enfield No.4MK2 WWII bolt-action battle rifle.
Caliber .303 British obviously.
The rifle is unfired and unaltered in any way. This is the closest thing to a mint as-new straight-from-the-factory Enfield that you will find. For the past two years, I have not seen any Enfields this condition.
All numbers match - the receiver, bolt/bolt handle, magazine, and notice the stamping on the bottom of the wood forend on the upper part of the handguard nearest the muzzle. The bayonet and scabbard came issued with the rifle.
I am the original owner, and I purchased it in early 90s before Clinton stopped the importation of surplus rifles - the good 'ole days for collectors. Even back then, you never saw unissued mint military rifles, so I snatched it up as quick as I could.
I am the original owner. It has been a safe queen until now. Would like to sell it locally before I offer it nationally on gunbroker.
