Item Description: 1917-manuf. French Berthier carbine. Numbers match on receiver and barrel. Bolt does not match, neither does the stock. Bore is shiny but lands are not as sharp as they used to be. 3 shot version; later carbines and rifles were converted to 5-shot magazines. 3-shot clips can be ordered from AV Ballistics. One problem: a piece of wood is loose behind the tang. It will pop out while shooting. This is an old arsenal repair. It could probably be remedied with glue or a screw. I will leave that to you. I can ship on your dime to FFL or C&R.
