Numbers matching. This serial prefix is part of a documented block of wartime sniper rifles. Lots of research has been aggregated by 9130info on this subject from the original Russian archives.

Poorly stamped “C” on the barrel shank circled in blue (typical of midwar snipers) with another, better marked “C” on the left side of the receiver under the PU mount.

The optic serial also dates to 1944. Exterior shows its age and use, but the glass is clear with no appreciable haze or scratching.

This rifle is (properly) zeroed and ready to rock. The optic is ballistically matched to the cartridge, which makes connecting at long range a breeze. Trigger breaks extremely clean at ~2 pounds.

Bore is excellent. Rifle groups around 1” with PPU 150-grain JSPs.

Very small, almost imperceptible import mark near the muzzle.

I think that’s all the relevant information.

This is an immensely fun to shoot piece of WWII history. It’s one of my favorite rifles, but it is a duplicate in my collection, and something else has caught my eye.

I am in no rush to sell it. I’m not going to get beat up on it. Trades would have to be pretty juicy, but I’ll consider offers.

Located in Waycross. I’ll ship it to your FFL on your nickel.

Thanks for looking.
