I think FN offered a hard chrome finish like that for 1980 (approx year of your pistol) "Sport" and it would have had a "beer can" rear sight originally. I think I have a hard chromed beer can sight in my HiPower parts bin.

On the Belgian hard chrome Hi Power from the early 1980s the slide stop, safety, mag release and hammer were black and the trigger was gold. I have seen both hard chrome and black beer can rear sights on different hard chrome models. I believe the hard chrome beer can sight was much rarer. That is a nice item to have in your parts bin!

I thought too the the controls and hammer were blue steel on the hard chrome factory guns. Nice pistol in any case.

I’m not sure if it’s a factory finish but it is a very nice finish I believe with new sights and new wood grips I’d be a pretty looking piece
