Item Description: Mossberg 514 Kit, 12Ga 3", Kit Includes 14" Heavy Wall Barrel W/Bead Sight, Magazine Tube, Action Slide Assembly, Forearm, Action Nut, Magazine Spring Retainer & Magazine Cap 92514.

The Shockwave is not an SBS or AOW because it was never a shotgun as defined by federal law.
If you have a shotgun as defined by federal law, shortening the barrel to less than 18" or the OAL length to less than 26"" requires a federal tax stamp for a Short Barrelled Shotgun. You cannot make a shotgun into an Any Other Weapon.

File a Form 1 as the maker of an SBS and you can have any furniture you want, any barrel length you want.

However, to install this kit, legally on a Mossberg 500, it is usually a "Cruiser" model that has NEVER had a should stock installed and is marked correctly on the 4473 as "other". Most Mossberg that are PGO were marked that way on the box.

I used a similar kit to build my "Shockwave" a few years before Mossberg started making them from the factory.
