Up for sale or trade is this 1872 date of production Remington Rolling Block rifle chambered in .50-70 government. This gun is from the first contract batch of 4000 for the New York State militia. The buttplate is marked to the 12th Regiment, Company A, Rifleman 11. Included is the original bayonet and 5 rounds.
The gun exhibits patina but not rust, or pitting. I replaced the mainspring, the gun is in excellent mechanical condition. No cracks in the wood. Great shape for 150.
