Not trying to bust a bubble, but yep, generally defenders are 3=3.25 inch, officers are 3.25-3.50 barrels, i agree it looks like a commander to me as well (4.25 in.barrel) but its not my pistola and i am going by the picture.
I would say that a 1 -1 1/2 pound trigger likely would not hold the sear against the hammer hooks to even function properly?
and certainly being a series 70 1911 a drop could easily result in a discharge if the trigger pull was that light.
anyway, luck wiht the sale and maybe some recalibration is in order on the ad?

A good gunsmith can achive a 1 1/2 pound trigger pull but it is insane to even consider something like that. I know Rob Leatham shoots with a trigger that light. I try to stay in the 3.5-4.0 range.

1-1.5 trigger pull? Sound like a recipe for and AD or unintended rapid fire. Certainly not a weapon that could be safely used as an EDC.

Definitely a compact ria, look at the first pic

Hey everyone this gun shoots amazingly great! no problems with the sear and yes it does shot right! i am up loading a video of me shooing this gun so you can see and it is a officer model. it is completely safe no mistake discharge or anything of the nature! the hammer hooks and works completely fine i carry this gun in a inside the pants holster with one in the chamber and safety on. the point i am trying to make is that this gun is safe and a blast and no it was not set that low for rapid fire i just like it that way every gun i own i get it has close to that has i can and this one is the lowest i gotten it. drop about 500 more into this gun and even got a 460 Rowland conversion but didnt have the right skill for the machine work needed lol here is a link to a youtube vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WB1g0WULWM that me shhoting this gun thank you
