What's the point of even making a 1 round mag? Wouldnt have even thought these existed. Wow. Thought I was pretty up on my 10/22 stuff. Thanks for saving me from not noticing this next time I'm ordering mags.

Yup.
Training and certain competitions only allow 1rd.
so they can use a 10/22 to compete in same class with single shot bolt guns.

I asked a Ruger rep about them a good while back and if I recall correctly, it was the Boy Scouts that requested them originally for training and later accepted for certain comps.

Teaching 10 kids at a time in Scouts is impossible to be on top of every one of them to ensure they only load 1 round
