Inherited through extended family and just interested in more modern rifles right now. He collected guns for decades, and had these since I can remember as a kid (though not sure if he did anything to them in that time). I planned on learning more about these (I have two different variants posted) but never really did , so not much I can tell you aside from what you see in the pics. I had purchased the clips myself, so including 5 with the rifle. From what I can tell, the receiver serial number dates to 1942. Buttstock is rubber and appears to be newer. No obvious stock markings. I have seen that the value of these are all over the place so forgive me if I am way off base. I am going off of recent sales I found online of very similar condition/year/parts etc, and priced them under what some of these were. Just need some cash otherwise they'd stay in the collection for me to eventually do more with. For reference sake, I found one identical to this all the way down to the buttstock and sling that sold for $2500.
Not interested in standard AR's or anything, have enough of these. I would like a nice modern 308 or some other distance/precision rifle in my collection, preferably something chassis based. Prefer more modern/tactical looking styles over woodgrain, while not completely opposed to either one. Also, looking for a (preferably converted) Saiga 7.62 AK47 rifle to replace the one I had many years back. Those would be my main trade interests.
