This is a VERY lightly used Remington-made Marlin 1895 SBL in .45-70 GVT. 2 boxes through it to get it sighted in. Never hunted with, been a safe queen since 2015. Only modification to the images you see is the serial number has been blurred on the smooth side of the receiver. The rifle is virtually blemish free. Has been cleaned, oiled and kept in climate controlled padded storage since I purchased it new. Only selling because I don't get enough use out of it these days. Beautiful lever-gun. Thanks brother I agree these are a little over priced. I would prefer a Older JM Marlin 1895 Cowboy 4570 26 inch octagon barrell with decent barrell not worn out using over powered reloads

I bought a brand new Remington made 3 years ago and only paid 1150 for it then. I sold it to an ODT member for 1000 and he had it posted for 2500. I just shake my head at some of these post

Country Sportsman in Rome Ga has the new Ruger Marlins for $1250 out the door. My older brother bought a 16" 45/70 a week ago. The OP reserves the right to ask whatever he wants for his rifle but imo, why traders keep paying over $2K for a rifle that's not anywhere worth that is BEYOND me
