Here is a Marlin 336. My grandfather gifted me this beauty in 1995 as a wedding gift. I remember him showing it to me when I was a kid in the mid 1960's. The box was worn out. Not exactly sure of date of mfr but it can be researched. It is new, never fired. Beautiful wood grain and is "JM" stamped. Safe kept and rubbed down yearly.
I have no family members to leave it to, so it's time to sell it to someone who will enjoy the heck out of it!
