Item Description: This is an excellent Remington model 81 and is chambered in the ultimate hard hitting 300/Savage, 5 round capacity with a 22” barrel.
All matching serial numbers and was manufactured and shipped 1949. Bore is very good with sharp rifling. Approval markings are excellent. Just replaced the old dried buttplate. Previous owner in order to perfect the gripping, cut clean grooves in the forearm to checker it.
This model rifle was used to bring down Bonnie and Clyde. Used widely by police and FBI in that time period.
Will throw in two boxes of .300 Savage.
