Yeah I really liked his original cut down side by side too. Vice wasn't so much a prime time show as it was a showcase for high end cars,boats, all kinds of guns and fashion. It leads me to that tired old saying of " They don't make them like that anymore."
But seriously I like the hammerless look so much that in the 90s I took a pristine J frame my grandfather left me and had the hammer shaved. I think I could've done a better job than the gunsmith did. It was ugly.
