This is a sewn, uncirculated, signed and unopened bag of pennies from the Denver Mint, dated 1962. They sit on the floor in my office and I use them mostly as a doorstop. I acquired them in 2016 after my mother in law died and her estate in Dekalb County was settled. There was an extensive coin collection that had been sitting since the 1970s and was split up by the surviving family. No one wanted these and so I snagged them up, and here they sit.

I would love some information on them. The small amount of research I have done yields very little specific information on the value. I'm willing to trade with a reputable member of ODT who has more than six or seven years of feedback on this site (in other words, flakes need not apply).

I'll answer your questions about this item as best I can, but I've told you about all I know.

Thanks for looking.

Last year of the copper penny was 1983. Copper spot-price this morning is 3.95/lb. Weight of copper in a 95% copper penny is 2.5gr.

So, if sold at spot, about $208/bag. I do not know about collector value.
If there are any double struck mint marks in the bag, they can be worth $3 - $8 - $40 depending on condition. I'm assuming these are loose in the bag so they'll have handling marks on them.

The Grey sheet has rolls of uncirculated 1962 D cents for $1.50 per roll. That's 3 cents per coin. The wholesale price for the complete bag is 150 dollars. Plus the price of the mint bag if you think it's cool enough to add value. I'm a dealer and would offer 100 dollars if someone brought that to me. I would try to sell it for 150.
