Remington 7600 30.06 pump with a Bushnell 4x Fixed scope on highrise rings. This has been my primary deer/hog gun for years, but I'm interested into moving to something a little shorter and a little milder.

Mostly interested in a straight up trade, but a little cash up or down is doable as well.

If you like the idea of a pump-action deer rifle, why not keep it and have a gunsmith bob the barrel down to 20" or whatever you consider short enough?

Every major ammunition company makes a low-recoil .30-06 load that pushes a 125 grain bullet at 2600-2700 f.p.s.

If you were trading because you are tired of a pump-action and want to go with a different type of firearm, that's one thing. But if you like the pump, I say keep your pump!

Good suggestion! I do like a pump- I also have a Remington 7615P and a 870 that I love. I just got the itch for something different.

If I can't find a trade that floats my boat then I may take your advice.
