ive gotta put my dog down

Yeah that sux man. It is a very simple procedure. The dog will fall asleep and that's all. Sorry for you. It is never easy.

This is gonna be awful, but i gotta do it. Going to take him to the vet saturday. Hes had a long life (16 or 17 years) but he is pretty much blind and deaf. Also is basically skin amd bones since he dont eat much, plus his back legs give out.

I dont like the idea of putting him out to pasture but its gotten to where we cant effictively take care of him (he cant help but pee inside now it seems).

Ive never done this before. Whats the run down on the procedure, anything i should expect or anticipate?

I am sorry you have to go through this...

Did it twice..cried like a baby twice...

Look, what ever you do is going to SUCK, you don't want your to suffer, so putting him down is the humane thing to do, I had to put down my Sit-Zu last year. I tried to fight the Vet when he told me. I had her for 15 1/5 years. She, was blind and could not walk. One of the Vet tech told me that my dog was suffering, so I said yes. The vet let me and my family say good buy, she just put the need in my dog like half a inch and she was gone. I cried like a baby. They, wrapped her in the scent free blanket so when I buried her, other animals would not try to dig her up. She, now sleeps in my back yard where I cleared out a space with rocks and a headstone that I had made for her. That little Dog got me got me through me 7 military deployments, Cancer in my stomach and kidney. She, was my pride and joy. The dog that you see as my Avatar is her replacement, from a Kill SHELTER. It took me a year to get him. I will prey for you.

Please go in there with him and comfort him as they administer the IV. Then don't be ashamed to cry like a baby cause you will...I did.

Had to put our big boy down last Christmas. Vet and his assistant came to our house. Cried like a baby and still tear up. We had him creamated and scattered his ashes on his favorite places.
