ive gotta put my dog down

I had to put Hank down 26 month ago. biker called it, tears, tears and more tears. Still miss him to this day. It is a terrible experience, for you, but you will get through it. Hate to hear you have to do this. Gotta go, my allergies are acting up.

As so many have already said it's the right thing to do , but it is so hard to let 'em go.

When my Peaches was first diagnosed with cancer we gave her medication, so she would not be in pain .

Then on a Saturday night we all had fried chicken which was her favorite she ate just like always, then when I got up that Sunday morning

She was gone.....I have not hurt that bad since I lost my parents. Now I want you all to know I will soon be 70 years old,but I cried a solid week

over her. Shoot I'm crying now just thinking about her........

Sorry for your loss man.
It's gonna be a tough patch for a little while.
You're going to need to decide what to do with the remains.
If you don't have a spot to bury him most vets will have a contact to have them cremated.
Costs on cremation vary on several available options and I urge you to find out from the vet what they are before hand if you choose to have it done.
I feel for ya man, hang in there.

Sorry to hear that. Very hard to do and having to be the one to do it. I had to put down our family cat who grew up with all three of our girls. We have pictures of all of the girls using him for a pillow when they were babies. He was 13 when I had to put him down due to cancer and his hips going out. It is hard to know when the right time is. I have a 16yr + pitbull mix who is an old grey faced skinny lady but she keeps ticking. I hope she goes to sleep one night and goes peacefully in her sleep so I don't have to do what you will. As far as procedure goes it was very fast and painless to the cat. He gets a shot like any other shot and goes to sleep within seconds. He looked like he was taking a nap until my vet said he was gone. I brought him home and dug his grave.

Very sorry for your loss. Dogs are family members and they give us unconditional love. Having gone through this more times than I want to remember, my advice is to go to a shelter and find a puppy as soon as possible. You won't regret it and it makes you feel a whole lot better.

My boxer mix is going on 14 and she's not getting around as good as she once did. She sleeps by my bed at night and at my chair when I'm home. Hate to even think about it now. She was dropped out at end of our drive when she was about 7 months old.great dog has been lot of comfort to me through the years.
