I competed and finished mammoth this past weekend! It was my first competition ever, and I really enjoyed the physical aspect of it as well. Anyone else here go? How was it for you?

Thank you! It was a blast. Over 30 miles of rucking, and some awesome stages of shooting. It’s a little different from my norm, but I learned a ton and am ready to do it againHell yeah, badass man
For the unprepared it was for sure! I brought 3 pieces of it and ended up handing it out to multiple people. Luckily my feet held up. I do ruck weekly at work though and have pretty conditioned feetCongratulations! Sounds like a tough but rewarding challenge. Looks like moleskin was a popular item.
When I was hiking the AT I carried a couple of extra pieces for those poor souls that decided to break in their boots on the first 30 miles. Always good to see people pushing themselves, their gear, abilities and expanding their uncomfortable zone. Wear that patch with pride. For the unprepared it was for sure! I probably saw you out there. I was squad 7!I was there as an RO on Stage 8 and for squad 8 on the last day. It's a tough event for sure, but it always seems to draw people back into it!
My preferred hiking boots are the Oboz Sawtooth and DarnTough socks. Never skimp on socks!I wore a pair of Salomon X Ultra 04’s. I bought them 3 weeks ago but changed the insoles to some that I wear regularly. Not even a hotspot. Very happy with these boots and my darn tough socks combo
