This is how I picture 90% of the ODT crowd reacting to a real emergency. Screaming, cussing, barking orders but not really helping etc etc.

Um...probably. That is true for 99.9% of people when dealing with a severe situation.
one of the many reasons I don't go to the range without a blow out kit and trauma bag....not necessarily for me...but to help someone when someone else does something stupid.
