Did my first Etowah float today looking for stipers. Ran into a guy that had a well rigged jet boat who said the new damn operator has made some changes that have ruined the striper fishing. Any of our local etowah guys know anything about that?

That being said it was a fantastic trip! I only caught one little one but man I had fun.

We put in at the Etowah river canoe launch by the West Ave bridge and floated to Euharlee boat ramp

New personal best. Should have left the bait in her to weigh, my son still holds family record at 8.97. In the past 33 days, I've got a 6.0, 8.8, 8.9 and he has a 6.9 and 9.0. We gave to accidentally find double digits soon. Record is 11.4.
