I had a P32 for 15 years, then sold it to fund the purchase of the identical gun but in .380 caliber, the P3AT.
As a middle aged man and well-experienced and trained shooter, I've had no complaints about the recoil or muzzle flip of the .380 version. But for a newbie, a teenager, a petite female, or an elderly person, THEN the .32 ACP chambering may be preferable.
You can find both the P32 and P3AT, as well as the Ruger LCP for $179 if you look for limited-time sales.
