We stopped at a knife shop while touring Michigan’s UP. It’s a family owned operation and all of their knives are made on site. We got to watch them work at making knives in the shop and were treated like family while we were there. My kids had a blast looking at all of the fine knives and taxidermy mounts adorning the showroom floor. We bought my son a folder with Elk antler handles and my Daughter picked out a fixed blade skinner with Maple handles. I had my eye on a few myself, but I walked out without one of my own.
