Last week were some reports of him being in critical condition but of course it was and still is hard to verify.

Recently it was revealed that a french medical team was unable to travel to north korea but a chinese one has. Un also missed and hasn't made any speeches about the birthday of his grandfather, the north korean patriarch/founder.

I read and heard something of this, but I think it could have been fake news that he died. Although he could be sick as I seen he had an issue with weight and heart conditions. I don't know this to be true.
