Kitchen appliances

Before buying at Lowes or HD check their return policy. Supposedly, both have changed and if you have issues after 48hr of delivery you deal with the manufacturer. Plus a lot of the stuff is delivery only and not at the store to see or buy. The delivery and install service is 3rd party and some are better than others. The guys installing my dryer didn't have the right cord and I was on my own.

If I had to buy anything I would check Costco. Better service, return and extended warranty. The down side is they fewer selections and I don't trust LG or Samsung for refrigerators.

Sewell Appliance in Marietta Cobb family owned 50 years, killer selection of no frills GE, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid basics that last think mechanical knobs, no WiFi gimmicks. Prices beat big boxes by 20-30%, solid warranties, and staff who actually know appliances.
Every model number i searched was "Call for pricing". That's a no-go for me.

After a couple of poor choices from the big box stores, our strategy with replacing appliances has been to purchase from appliance companies which sell and SERVICE their products. We prefer appliances with the least amount of high tech features which tend to break just outside of the warranty.
