Anybody had a partial knee replacement? Going to have it done in a couple weeks. Doctor has tried several treatments and none have worked very long. Two surgeries, injected some silicone lubricant. Knee is going bad FAST. I think this is my last choice before total knee replacement.

No, but good luck. My left knee is always swelling up on me and gives me trouble sometimes. I am afraid I may be heading down that same road thinks to BMX bikes, baseball and football.

And you are how old? Im 62 and had 2 ops and had it scoped 2 years ago.I learned to live with the pain and a brace.Partial replace....never.

mom had a TKR last year, Had a hard time with recovery....Lots of PT(physical therapy) and sitting with her leg propped up. From what I've seen, Joint surgeries tend to have longer healing periods...Best of luck and hope for a speedy recovery.

Go see Dr. Spero Karas at Emory Sports Clinic. He is one of the best out there and will give you the straight scoop. He has performed 2 shoulder surgeries on me and they came out great. He is the Atlanta Falcons Dr. and works with sorts related injuries all the time, knees and shoulders. I can't recommend him highly enough and would not allow anyone else to cut on me for those type issues.

Good luck to you!
