I can't believe you'd have any insulation factor out of it. But yes, it's great stuff. I've seen moss on it and still not hurt it. If I had to use siding, it's what I'd use. As far as lasting, I have no real idea. According to the net, it may last a little longer than other quality siding. My last house was cedar. Aside from replacing certain pieces on a chimney every 10-15yrs, seemed good to go. The house was @ 36yrs old when we moved. Current home is brick. It's near 60yrs old and good to go. Only issue with brick Is having a good foundation under it due to the weight. As long as it's installed correctly to begin with

I like others have said must have been sleeping on checking prices the last few years, wow no wonder houses cost what they do now a days LOL

All I can say is, I'm glad I bought when I did. I'd have to be some kind of crazy rich to even consider a new home now.
So , 47k $ at the bottom end with no soffit work and 71k$ for the works , on a average home
but no worries 12 no interest LOL , are folks just financing everything way out now a days?

WOW…. I spent 5.5 for siding and a little over 6 for windows. 2200 sq house and 1000 sq shop. Pella double hung, double glass with the low whatever sun screen in the windows. 11 windows with i think 34 sq siding. And all the j channels and corners several boxes soffit and several boxes prebent facia. It’s hard to believe prices went up that much in 3 years. However I did all the labor.
