Knife selection help needed...

hey fat ass ..what's one deem dare purdy knives cost ??? also what kinda steal ya using ???
Hahahaha. That just made me lol pretty good. One in this configuration is $250. These are in 01 tool steel. If a different steel is wanted we could talk about it though and figure out if a price difference is needed.

You want some help ..1st step ,step away form steal mart .2nd step, study steal ..3rd step ,check out some knife dealers or stores after you have learned your metals .. it would probably be best to check out flea bay for older knives..

Yup, flea bay and amazungle got lots of authentic USA made blades......and the shipping from China is real cheap if you don't mind the wait. :suspicious:

I absolutely love my Blind Horse Knives blade in O-1, but price wise it sounds like your level of interest is somewhere between 1095 (carbon steel) and 440-C (stainless).

Check out the "ESEE porn" thread in this section for some great 1095 workhorses.

Seriously, when the hype is all done, a knife only has to do 2 things:
-fit in your hand comfortably.
-give you confidence that it will perform when you really need it to.

You can't go wrong with Esee. Shop around and you can find them for under $100. I'll second the Blind Horse Knives. They are out of business, but one of the owners has a knife company called Battle Horse Knives. Same quality, but you're gonna spend about $170. They are well worth it though.

Well now this is officially thread hijacking... It is that I'm selling right now. I have made others in the past though. I'm about to start a run of 18 of these. After that I might close the books for a minute and make some new designs and sell as I go. I want to do some 440c and/or s30v blades, but I don't want to sell them until I can test.
