Know anything about Vaccums?

I sold Kirby vacs when I was younger and I know a good bit
About vacs.

Here's a fun fact for ya, the sweeper bar on most vacs also has a beater bar
On them and its a design that was made when folks only used throw rugs.

The bar agitated the dirt through the rug to the floor and then was swept
Up.

Now it beats the dirt through the carpet to the padding under it.

Lmk, if you need more info. :)

I can't believe my wife talked me into a Dyson being an ol' Hoover guy myself.

But man, what a vacuum!

Nice not to have to worry about bags, too.

It's hard to be cool and tough when talking about vacuums but the dyson animal is amazing. It picks up all the dirt in the first pass and is great for getting dog hair. Expensive? Yes. Buy once, cry once.

I'm cheap... I got a decent Eureka from Big Lots for about $40. Works like most other cheap vacuums do. Although, as with any cheap bagless vac, you need to have an air compressor to blow out the foam and filters about every two months or it doesn't work worth a crap.

Still using the Rainbow we had when I was a kid. Its got to be almost 20yr old now. Does a dam good job. Plus it will pick up wet or dry and does not allow the dust to blow back out of the vent.

Had the rainbow guy come by and try to sell us a vacuum. However for the price, I'll have someone come clean my house. Holy crap it was expensive. Overall I understand the idea and concept but the price made the Dyson look like a bargin discount.

We now have 2 dogs and have had a Hoover, and a Dyson but when we had a demo for the Rainbow my wife was sold.... yeah they are expensive but I have seen them on E-Bay and CL for the price of a Dyson, after cleaning the carpet with the Dyson and seeing what the Rainbow picked up after it was amazing, plus with the newer ones, you can set them on low and use them as a whole home air purifier, keeps the pet dander down.

My wife Had an old Hoover for 16 yrs. she uses it at least twice a day every day. Finally burnt the motor up yesterday. She went to Lowes and picked up Dyson demo model for $300. It works great so far and they have up to $120 instant rebate going on now To me $300 is a lot for a vacuum cleaner but to her its a needed tool for the house
