Hey folks,

This is confusing me.

KP9 SBR. Wanting to mount a Rearden/Plan B brake on for QD suppressor use.

I know standard AKs use face shims.

There appears to be a shoulder here. Am I wrong?

Is the taper mount to be tightened down until it stops? What about timing it?

If the Reardon SPB happens to time up correctly without a shim, then don’t use one. Degrease all male and female threads, put a thin bead of Rocksett at 12 o’clock, and torque to spec. If there’s no spec, go to 20ft/lbs.

If it needs a shim, I recommend Precision Armament shims, so that you’ll only use one. Other than the inclusion of the shim, directions are the same as above.

Thank you Sir!
