as a head's up LIDL has ribs for $2/pound and even less if you're a rewards member. I got like 11 pounds and some change back from my $20 bill.

I bought 2 and I'll grind them for sausage. I'll add 5 or 6 pounds of beef fat to a 20lb brisket. The butcher shops near here will sell beef or pork fat.
I use the fat that's on it but I add more. I don't think there's enough just eyeballing it, so I I've been adding 5 pounds or so to get me to roughly a 70/30 (I'm guessing) mix. It's always turned out great so I just keep doing it this way.so you don't use the fat that's on the brisket or is there not enough fat that you buy and add more?
I intend to grind the one I bought today...will add tallow if I think it doesn't have enough fat....this will be my first brisket grind...I have ground rib roasts(when on sale) they have worked out great...hoping the brisket will as wellCurious?
Any one ground a whole Brisket for brisket burgers? Any tips?
They both look great!Phase I(rough grind) complete...I use a pound, or so of tallow...mine was fairly fatty...
