Land survey from CAD file?

I got a zip file that is supposedly a 2017 survey from a property I am buying, but not sure how to get the survey since I have never used any CAD software. Anyone have any tips?

Download FreeCAD if it is in a cad format it should open up
Of course you'll have to unpack it first

Very basic. If that doesn't work email it to me and I convert it to something else. Pdf or something if it's a 2d drawing

What file format is the Cad file? What is the extension? .dwg?

Looks like Nonlib has you covered. You can also download Autodesk Truview which is free and will allow to view any .dwg file and convert or print it to PDF.

A bunch of files in the zip, but one is .dwg.

What are you trying to access/what level of detail was included in the survey? Just wanting meets and bounds and closures or are you trying to access a DTM surface?

Not sure what DTM surface is, I need it to be detailed enough for title insurance.

DTM=digital terrain model aka a 3d render built from triangulated point elevation shots the surveyor would have taken but based off the response that’s not needed
